History of Cherry House Furniture Galleries

Cherry House, Inc. began business in 1969 when Shirley Whitehouse bought a small shop that sold cut glass and handmade solid cherry furniture in downtown La Grange, KY. Soon after, Shirley’s husband Owen (Jeep) built a small two story shop for the business on their nearby working farm. When I- 71 was extended through Oldham County to Cincinnati, La Grange got its own exit.

Cherry House soon became popular with shoppers from both Louisville and Cincinnati.

Cherry House is widely regarded as the premier resource for unique, affordable fine home furnishings in the Louisville market and surrounding areas. The business is committed to continually improving its ability to serve customers and showcase the largest and finest selection of fine home furnishings in the region. The in store, and in home design services offered by interior design professionals have created award winning show homes, and hundreds of area private residences.

In home delivery is available Nationwide
Our white glove service provides set-up, placement and arrangement of your new home furnishings.
Deliveries are scheduled according to your location within our delivery area.
The morning of delivery, your delivery team will call you to confirm your delivery and verify a correct address. At this time, they will advise you of an estimated time window in which to expect delivery.
To insure the safety of our drivers, snow or other pedestrian obstacles must be removed before our drivers can accomplish your delivery.
